October 29, 2007

A good day for Maureen, who was up and about comfortably. Her appetite is improving and she appears to be gaining strength daily. She enjoyed spending relaxing time with her sister Catherine and my mom, Sharon. It is good to have Maureen home. Fluid retention continues and we expect the need to have it tapped again soon. Our doctor does not seem alarmed by this as Maureen spoke to his office today. Thank you again for all your caring support. Mike.

STB prayers coming your direction!!!

Just heard today of your health struggles, I immediately thought of your St. Patrick's Day parties and all the music and fun we shared in one place or another when you lived in MN. You are in our prayers, Maureen and Mike, and families. We will pray for much peace and light and healing for your direction. We always held out hope that you would return to MN some day, but maybe we'll just have to make a trek to the southwest. It sounds like you have a tremendous faith community there and I will share the word with choir folks here too! Know that we are thinking of you, holding you up in love and mercy!

Thinking of you always Maureen.... I'm sure Mom gave hugs from all of us up here in SD. Let her go to work... it's what she does! As for you... breathe! Don't push yourself too hard now that you are home. Just breathe. WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!

News sounds very positive. It cannot be anything but positive to have all these Irish cousins, 2nd cousins and assorted relatives praying for Maureen to recover and completely regain her health.

Hey Caseys!
It is really great to read the daily progress reports. I suspect it is good to be at home again, especially with family surrounding you! W are still cheering for you daily, hoping that as you go through this fight you will always have the strength that comes from friends and family who are supporting you with prayers. Keep your chin up, and know we are with you!
Rob and Angie.

We can not know what God has planned for us today, but we can be assured of his presence through people, cards, smiles, good wishes, etc. And so I wish you the very best day possible. May the beauty of the day brighten your heart and may you smile often knowing that you are loved by so many. I have already prayed for you today and will continue to do so. Sending love and blessings from Lowry Hill Mpls to you Maureen.

Maureen,

As I read through all of these messages, I can't help but think what a tribute this is to you. You have touched so many lives in a positive way. I must admit I get teary eyed as I read through the new notes each day. A few weeks ago, I was putting up some new shelving in the garage and thought what a good time you and I had building the work bench together. That baby is solid and here to stay, just like you. Hang in there and take one day at a time. I know you have the strength and determination to beat this. You are in our prayers.

Lots of Loves from Eagan,
Dick, Terrie, Jenny, Maggie and Gremlin.

Save some almond joys for me!

Happy Halloween, Sister! I am saying my little prayers for a good day for you, with lots of relief today after your procedure. My, aren't you being cared for so well! When it comes my turn to help I am afraid you will be disappointed, as the bar has been set so high! I do look forward to sharing candy bars and conversation and watching movies.... But for now, you are in very good hands! I love you!!!!! Jacque

Update Soon From Mike
Catherine Billion October 31, 2007 at 09:58 AM MDT
Mike had to take a quick overnight trip to TX, but will be back today at Noon time. His wonderful mother , Sharon is here supporting in so many different ways...engaging in listening conversation, driving JP to school, cooking, cleaning/organizing, spending time watching Maureen's favorite movies with her; last night she and JP selected a jack-o-lantern face to carve out from the internet and carved a very beautiful skeleton face, with votive inside! (not too scary). JP will handle the distribution of candy to all of the neighborhood kids and their friends (almond joys given out last, so Maureen and Mike can enjoy the left-overs!). Mike and Maureen will appreciate prayers today for her routine paracentesis prodedure(abdominal tap) at 10:30 AM (Pacific). Thanks everyone. God bless you all.

Hi Casey Family,
