Hug and comfort from Auntie Kathy - Kathy Miller
Dearie, I love you so! I am praying for you today this prayer: "PEACE...Look not forward to what might happen tomorrow. The same everlasting Father, who cares for you today, will take care of you tomorrow, and everyday. Either He will shield you from suffering, or He will give you the unfailing strength to bear it. Be at PEACE, then, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations." St. Francis de Sales. You are always on my mind, all of you. Love, Auntie Kathy
Love from Minnesota - Terrie Jorgensen
Maureen & Mike - It was great to get your update! Maureen - What a battle you are fighting, but it sounds like you are holding your own. I'm glad the chemo wasn't too rough on you. The prayers are continuing from MN. I've looped in the Allens, Andersons and Sandagers and they've got their respective prayer groups also praying for you. I'm in awe of your strength and so proud of your fight. Mike - If I were there, I would certainly be helping with the "home chores". I will be sending some cookies - that's not much, but maybe it will satisfy a craving. We love you - hang in there! Terrie, Dick & Jenny |

Maureen's smile - Pat Anderson
There has always been something special about your smile Maureen, and by reading these posts and even an update, it's obvious that it's not only me who's noticed it. Maybe there's a hint of mischief behind it, or maybe a laugh just about to emerge. No matter what it is, it has always had an affect on me. I'd like to share two of them with you, the first and last time that I saw this beautiful smile. The first was in early 1976 when you were but one of six or seven faces plastered to the window in the library at the Greenhouse when I was about an hour late picking up Carolyn for our first date. I can remember walking into the library, with so many sisters gathered around and wondering what I was getting myself into. Little did I know. The last was in June on the weekend of Joe & Katie's wedding. It was a smile filled with happiness, joy, and most of all pride, and it's never been more beautiful. All I can do at this point is hope and pray that with your strong , competetive spirit, and God's will, your beautiful smile will soon be gracing all of us that have mentioned it and are anxious to see it again soon. I love you Mau, Pat
WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Jeanne Hassel
Wo Love You Maureen... That Chemo is so tough... hard for everyone to go through... Maureen you are such an amazing person... stay strong and know that we are praying for you... I had such a tough time sleeping last night... each time I would wake thinking of you... was Wednesday night hard on you???? I have to believe it was God waking me with thoughts of you and reminding me to PRAY for you.... I did... I cried a little and prayed a lot for you! We are so proud of you for your strength fighting this fight! My prayers are also for you Mike, Connor and JP... this is not easy to handle as a loved one watching. Keep the Faith! Cry! Get mad! PRAY! Fr. Vogel told me that when we pray it should be just like you are talking with your very best friend... Share your thoughts, fears, anger... he is wanting to hear all of those things... he wants to help carry some of those burdens... tell him and let him hold you up. We all send our love and prayers!
Happy Thursday Maureen - Joan Lentner
The updates are great. I am encouraged each and everytime that I read one and you are doing better, because that means you are getting close to going home and the prayers are working. Yes, all of the prayers that are being said are being answered in some very special way...just for you Maureen. Even though it is great to have that personal attention at the hospital, it is even better to be in your own home. Home seems to have a very healing effect. As you journey today, know and believe that God is giving you whatever you need to make it through "just today". Blessings from Minneapolis to you in AZ. My prayers continue. Joan (Lowry Hill)
