October 16, 2007

Maureen's recovery continued today. She was exhausted and rested most of the day. I talked w/ Dr. Janicek this morning who reported that everything was as expected and no real surprises. There has been a fluid shift and they're trying to eliminate this fluid w/ certain drugs. We'll also try to get her to move around a bit which should also help. We'll know more tomorrow. In her concsious moments she managed to tease me and make fun of "some idiot" on Entertainment tonight. This is a sign of progress. She is still in ICU, which was expected and welcome. Maureen is getting very good care. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers. It's truly remarkable the love you've shared. We continue the battle one day at a time. Mike.

Mom Says ....

Hi Maureen and Family,

Mom Green wanted to post a message on your CarePage but she is in need of a little technical assistance to help her. (She might need to use the new computer.) This is a "in the meantime message" to you from her to let you know you that are in the foremost of her thoughts and she loves you so much. I LOVE YOU MAUREEN, From Your Mom.

You are in our thoughts and prayers

We were pleased to hear the surgery went as well. Please know you have people here on the east coast pulling and praying for you and your recovery before you start your next step. Remember "live better through Chemistry"... pain and anti-nausea meds are a wonderful thing! You are in our prayers, The Boston Rexes

I just spoke with Jeanie and she reiterated what Mike said about the surgery. I'm glad that things are progressing and my prayers are with you for a speedy recovery. I only wish that I was closer to help out, but I know that you have a lot of friends and loved ones to assist you through this ordeal.

You're a Survivor already!

So glad to hear that the surgery went well. My family is constantly praying for you. When Macy goes to sleep at night...she prays for "Mrs. Facey"...yep..with an "F". We're working on her saying "Casey" but right now Facey is good enough...God knows who she's praying for. ;)

We did the Komen Race for the Cure this Sunday...and on my back tag I ran in celebration of my mom but also in celebration of you Maureen. You are already a Survivor!

Big (but gentle) hugs to you!!

We love you!

Hi Maureen and Casey's! We are so happy to hear the surgery went well. We are thinking about you guys so much. Our prayers and positive, healing thoughts are with you.

Maureen, you are loved so much. You are so strong, I've always admired that about you. We believe in you. Jackson and Zoey said they want you to come over and sing and dance to "Sesame Street" in the front yard. And I want you to do Latin Hip Hop with me next time we see eachother. We miss you, love you, and are praying for you.

Sending BIG hugs and kisses to all the Casey's....

LOVE,
Colleen, Jack, Zoey and Eric Gillespie

Hi Mike and Maureen! Have been anxious to get back to the hotel and check to see if Mike sent an update...YES! Thank you. Doug, Mary, Nancy, Doris and I were in Beresford all day, sorting and boxing, etc., getting ready to close up the Miller house. It's a big job...Doris lived there for 55 years. She is moving to Bethany Gardens in Brandon. All day while working, I was thinking of you and hoping you were having a good, restful day. It's so hard to be so far away. Love you and miss you all so much. God bless...Auntie Kathy

Praise God that your surgery went well! You are such an amazing woman, as evidenced by this awesome outpouring of positive words and thoughts. It is amazing to me how many communities in so many places are rallying prayer on your behalf. I just returned from my bible study, so you can add Victoria, BC to that list as well! Let God and all these people that you've touched be your strength now, so you can dedicate all of your thoughts to healing and loving.

Lots of love to my beautiful auntie, and to Mike, Joe, Connor and JP!

You're the Casey Family: strong, musical, intelligent, brave, athletic, loving.... and Maureen, you are the leading lady. Only a great woman can put up with those Casey men and you do it so effortlessly, with grace and love. You are ALL in my prayers. Sending a great big hug (*HUG*) from this redhead in California. xoxo
