Thanksgiving Prayers Terry Casey November 18, 2007 at 04:35 PM MST
We are going into the preparations for Thanksgiving at our house but with a whole new meaning to the giving thanks aspect. Each day and night I offer up prayers for your continued progress toward the goal of "cancer free". Maureen, we are so proud of you. The faith and loving heart will bode you well on this journey. Our thanks to Margaret and her family for making it possible for her to spend this time with you. Love you much, Sharon. Dearest Maureen: want you to know again, you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers many times everyday. Our stores are being readied for Christmas and I wish you could walk through both, especially Welcome West and see the displays and full jewelry cases. I love you so much,Terry.
Hi Sweetie, Sue Stoller November 18, 2007 at 02:33 PM MST
You are always on my mind and in my heart. I wanted to come visit again but this may not be the best time. As we prepare for Thanksgiving in a few days, here is my simple prayer of gratitude for the privilege of calling you friend. 'Thank you, loving God for the grace of Maureen's presence in my life over the past 10 years. We share a mutual love of making music together and the privilege of serving your faith community of St. Bernadette. Maureen is truly your instrument of beauty and harmony that has touched my spirit as her melody is poured out from her heart. Thank you also, for her doctors and for the healing that she is experiencing, even though she must become weak and weary so she may become fully healed.' Your other Mom, Sue

Maureen, I am so sorry that you had a tough week, but it is all part of getting rid of those "gremlins" inside. It is so wonderful that you have one of your sisters here for the holiday & so much support continuing to pour in. I must tell you that even while you are away, you continue to provide inspiration. There have been several times that I have had a "situation" that I would normally discuss with you over lunch to get some of your excellent advice. But instead I ask myself, What Would Maureen Do? It seems to be working - you have taught me well!! Thank you for your friendship and just being you! Sending love & prayers for you to keep feeling better. Lisa |
St Marys Catholic School Students pray for Maureen Casey and Family! Jeanne Hassel November 18, 2007 at 06:43 PM MST
Last Thursday our entire school once again prayed the rosary for you Maureen... I hope you could feel those prayers from the little Kindergarten through 6th grade students (including Maria!) and our entire staff (Me Big Time!) Each day someone from school asks me how you are doing and your updates help me fill them in on your progress in this battle. WE all continue to pray for you! I'm so glad that Margaret is with you! You Greens really know how to rally together! Today at 9:00 am mass your sister Catherine and the Billion family filled our church with song. Quitar, Violin, piano and beautiful voices rang out! Be strong Maureen... JESUS, JESUS, JESUS... We love you! Jeanne, Greg, Claire, Anna & Maria

Dear Sis - Remember all those thanksgivings when we'd set Mom's dining room table with the good dishes, and get the good silverware out, and the centerpiece was always that ceramic cornucopia? You and Me and Alice would always have to sit at the little kids table!! The food was always just as good though. The anticipation and excitement of the holiday always brought such a warm feeling in our house. Not to mention the anticipation for pumpkin pie!! I'm so glad you are feeling better after your Chemo. I'm so glad Margo was there to help out this week. Wish I could do more for you. You have always displayed such character and strength, and I am so proud of you and your couragous attitude. I'm continually thinking about you and your family and praying daily for healing. And this Thanksgiving week, I'm especially thanking God for you. Have a Happy Thanksgiving. I love you! Theresa

Hi Maureen, As I doodle about the city, I have my radio tuned to the Christian station and I always seem to be thinking about you just as this song comes on. Have you heard it? The lyrics are just this, sung to 2 different tunes: I will bless the Lord with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind, with all my strength. As Thanksgiving rolls around, I thank God for bringing you strength for this journey; I thank God for the new and lower CA 125 counts; and I thank God for your friendship. May you have a peace filled turkey time with your family. Prayers always for you and your family! Joan B.

Maureen, Mike, and boys - A blessed Thanksgiving to you all! Judy Kludt November 18, 2007 at 05:27 PM MST
The Kludt family sends our wishes, thoughts and prayers your way each day and especially on the upcoming holiday. We hope you will be able to enjoy the turkey and treats that accompany it. Remember there are so many people praying for your recovery and wishing that you will continue to hear those special words from God. "I love you and I will watch over you and take of you and your family" - I keep hearing these words back from God as I pray for you and your family, it almost seems eery in a way but peaceful in another. Feeling God's presence is so powerful and heeling. I felt that presence of God when I attended Joe & Katie's wedding in AZ in June also - so much faith and love of God in your family and friends was a wonderful experience. Enjoy your family and know we are thinking of you all! Paul and Judy Kludt and family. |
